Using drones along with on the ground soldiers sounds like a great idea to me. Instead of having to try to see into the woods for the enemy just fly a drone over with infrared and blow them up.

Hi Diane!

The most important thing at the moment, I think, is to inform people you know about it. So I’d put notes up on Facebook, Twitter, etc. about the issue and post articles so your friends can learn about it. I’d also encourage letters to the editor, etc.

Second, I think we should all be pushing our elected leaders to seriously consider this policy that’s materialized without any real review or oversight. We don’t officially acknowledge the CIA’s activity in Pakistan, so the policy is on autopilot (ironic for a drone policy, right?). So I’d make a nuisance of myself with my elected officials, especially with members of Congress. Their switchboard number is: 202.224.3121.

Finally, if you’re a member of any activist groups, I’d push them to take on this issue. It’s not been the focus of any email campaigns or call-in days that I’m aware of.
