Fanchon Marques. Bar Stools. January 08th, 2018.
Choosing the right Size. There are several measurements to consider when choosing bar stools. Most stools are designed to go under or near a bar. The height of the bar will determine the height of the bar stool. You ideally need enough room for a person to sit comfortably, legs crossed on the stool while under or near your breakfast bar.
For a slightly more unusual look and feel you can purchase contemporary and retro. Going back to the 70s is becoming very fashionable and people are trying to find all things retro. Contemporary and retro bar stools can be made from either wood or steel and have some fantastic seat covers, you can get them in a vast range of colours. You can have red stools, blue bar stools or even pink stools, they can be as loud and as bright as you require. It is your home and your design to do what you want with.
Sometimes the legs will be made of natural branches, with their natural curvatures, giving a seat a rustic, unique look. Later, with the development of wood carving machines, the legs would become straight and of the same shape, and would feature simple circular ornaments.
Although many stools are affordable to buy you can have some especially made just for your home, these designer stools are more expensive but have that unique feel to them. When deciding on the stool that will suit your needs going for the cheap stools doesnt always pay, they may seem like a bargain at the time, but will they last and be able to cope with constant traffic over them. Wooden are very popular; you can have them made in many different types of wood, painted or unpainted. Also chrome are equally as popular, both wooden and chrome bar stools are built to last and are very fashionable; you can match those to virtually any other pieces of furniture in your home.
