What are they used for? As the name implies, counter stools are used where counters are available. In a home interior setting, if you have kitchen counters or bar counters, these provide the most appropriate seating arrangements. While they are mainly used for taking breakfast, snacks or a round of drinks, other uses of these stools make them very appealing. Their placements and comfortable seating/turning arrangements allow reading or writing and enjoying entertainment sources like music or television.
Adjustable and Custom Made Counter Stools. Another choice in kitchen seating is adjustable counter stools. These stools can be changed to suit a tall person or a child. You can adjust the height to allow room for your thighs if the standard height is not enough. They are also helpful when the chairs are being used for different purposes, such as doing homework. When you order custom made kitchen counter stools, it is best to order just one to begin. When you get it, try it for awhile and make sure it fits everyone in height. If it does, you will be ready to order your full set of stools.
Adjustable and Custom Made Counter Stools. Two viable alternatives to the standard counter stool are the adjustable and custom designed counter stools. Prior to ordering these stools you should contact the manufacturer to see if there is a way to "test drive" the stools, especially adjustable stools. There may be a restaurant supply showroom with floor models of each. A good idea would be to take someone needing the custom seating with you to test for comfort. If the fit is good you can then place an order for a full set of counter stools.
